Modernizing Education Spaces for Administrative & community engagement
In 2019, Workspace Elements had the honor to outfit the new Salt Lake City School District Office. The collaboration began when Tyler Barnes, the district's Purchasing Director, reached out to Workspace Elements. The district needed assistance in finding a temporary location while the old office building was demolished and reconstructed. Workspace Elements quickly connected them with David Nixon from JLL Commercial Real Estate, securing a temporary space.
As the design phase commenced, Tiffin West, Associate AIA & Project Manager from NJRA Architects, took the architectural reins of the project, while Big D Construction was brought on as the contractor for the new build. Over the course of a few years, the design and planning for furniture took shape, with Workspace Elements actively involved in ensuring every detail aligned with the district’s needs.
The phased installation of the furniture began in June 2024, and by early September 2024, the transformation of the district’s office was complete. The furniture, sourced primarily from HNI brands like Allsteel, HON, Gunlocke, and HBF, as well as an Enwork Conference Table for the Boardroom, perfectly complemented the modern, functional aesthetic of the new building.
The phased approach of Salt Lake City School District's new office building which allowed the installation process to be efficient and streamlined, coupled with the selection of top-tier furniture manufacturers, ensured that the district now has a workspace that supports productivity, collaboration, and overall well-being.
As an industry leader in corporate furniture design, Workspace Elements continues to set the standard for excellence in project execution and client satisfaction.
